LeaseScan is operated by VantagePoint Networks. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use leasescan.io.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — email address provided at checkout, used to deliver your report and manage your account.
• Lease document content — the text or PDF you upload for analysis. This is processed to generate your report and is not stored permanently after analysis is complete.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
• Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, and browser/device information collected via analytics tools to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To analyse your lease document and generate your report
• To send you your report and any account-related communications
• To process payments securely via Stripe
• To improve the accuracy and reliability of our analysis
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

3. Lease Document Processing

Your lease text is transmitted securely to our AI analysis service. We do not use your lease content to train models, and we do not share your lease content with third parties. For the Self-Hosted plan, your lease documents never leave your own server.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and compute (data centres in the EU and/or US)
• Analytics providers — aggregate, anonymised usage statistics

5. Data Retention

Lease document content is retained for the duration of your subscription or for 90 days after a single-scan purchase, after which it is deleted. Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after account closure to comply with legal obligations.

UK and EU residents have rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR. California residents have rights under the CCPA.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted storage and access controls. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you not to upload documents containing unnecessary sensitive personal data.
